Welcome back, fellow bookworms! You know the drill: grab a snack and a drink, get comfy — and (very important) enjoy!
Have you ever been just mindlessly scrolling through TikTok when a video suddenly pops up and completely stops you in your tracks? Well, that’s exactly how I stumbled upon the Chaotic Love series by Trin Savage.
This Call of Duty-inspired dark military romance won’t just rock your world — it’ll stop it completely until it’s the only thing you can think about for days.
Now, let’s get to the questions... 😉
Q1: What inspired you to write your book/books?
Trin: Emotional chaos, morally gray men, and the need to give my intrusive daydreams a full-time job… and Call of Duty.
Q2: Have you always wanted to be an author, and what got you into writing?
Trin: Always. I started writing when I realized therapy was expensive and fictional men don’t interrupt you mid-rant. But seriously—I didn’t know I wanted to be an author exactly; I just knew that when I put words on a page, I felt so much better, whether it was poems or journal entries. It progressed when I’d write little plays for my cousins and me to perform for our grandparents, and short stories when I finally learned how to work their old janky computer.
Q3: Which five words would best describe your book/books?
Trin: Chaotic. Spicy. Emotional. Addictive. Unforgiving.
Q4: How would you introduce your characters?
Trin: With a warning label and a first-aid kit.
Q5: Who is your favorite character that you have written, and why?
Trin: I actually can’t answer this yet since my favorite is still being written, but my second is Sam. He’s equal parts heartbreak and healing—the kind of man who makes you want to fix him even though you know better.
My Note: I think mine is forever going to be Sharkie. 💕
Q6: Is there a real person that inspired your character/characters?
Trin: Bits and pieces of people I’ve known… and a few I wish I didn’t.
Q7: If your book/books were a dish, what dish would that be and why?
Trin: Whiskey-marinated steak—dark, heavy, and guaranteed to emotionally wreck you if you overindulge.
My Note: Oh my gosh, that sounds delicious. 🥩😋
Q8: If your character was a pizza, what toppings would it have?
Trin: Extra cheese, double pepperoni, and a sprinkle of emotional damage. (Unless it’s Sharkie, then it’s pineapple and ham because she won’t accept anything else.)
My Note: Ohhhh I don’t fuck with pineapple on pizza!!! 🍍❌
Q9: If your characters were an ice cream flavor, what flavor would they be?
Trin: Espresso fudge ripple—sweet on the surface, dark underneath, and highly caffeinated with emotional trauma.
Q10: If you could give one warning to your characters, what would it be?
Trin: Stop bottling things up—it’s not character development, it’s self-destruction.
My Note: Facts!!!! 💯
Q11: What pet would your character have—one that screams “this is so them”?
Trin: A German Shepherd that listens to no one and judges everyone. 🐕
Q12: If you could bring one of your characters to life, which one would it be? What would you guys do together?
Trin: Raylen—so we could sit in silence, drink coffee, and emotionally avoid everything together. ☕😌
Q13: If your book/books were made into a movie/TV show, who would you cast?
Trin:

Q14: What other projects can we expect in the future?
Trin: A mafia romance series full of loyalty and betrayal—and a standalone taboo romance that’ll ruin your sleep schedule.
My Note: OMG I’m sooooo excited!!!! 😭🔥
Q15: How would your characters introduce you to someone?
Trin: “She writes our pain like it’s therapy and laughs while we suffer.” 😂
Q16: What would your callsign be and why?
Trin: I really love Siren, but since we already have a “Little Siren,” I would probably say Muse.
Q17: Which of the couples that you have written is your favorite?
Trin: Sam and Jasmine for sure… as of right now 😏
Q18: Which trope is your favorite?
Trin: Age gap!!!!!
My Note: Age gap is my all-time favorite!!!!! 💕
